Protect Yourself Against Diabetes

December 28th, 2011

Do you be worried about getting diabetes? I understand I do as diabetes is a concern within my family. Personally, i don’t have diabetes at this point time but I watched my father contract diabetes in the mid-50s and finally died from complications associated with diabetes at 63. The advice and going to offer you is from my own experience only and i’m not really a physician.

I’ve researched many different diseases in my quest to learn more about how our bodies work and there has been too overriding factors that help avoid or control several problems that can happen using the body. The above factors are dieting and exercise. If you have a poor diet or don’t exercise properly your odds of contracting diabetes raises dramatically. Now if it’s hereditary you may still get diabetes at some point or any other before you get diabetes issue to everyone you can to help keep it at bay.

Personally, i took the point of exercise and proper eating seriously. Allow me to provide you with some pointers which i follow every single day. First In my opinion you need to get out and use a minimum of 5 times per week. I like to take a good 30 to 60 minutes brisk walk every single day. It is wonderful if you get your family involved with it. I find that my son or my wife like to go with me each day. The company helps to make the walk of by quickly. They’ll also keep you motivated to get out many just don’t seem like getting it. I additionally like the difference in rhythm of the walk between my son and my spouse. My son is 16 years old and loves to walk very fast. Then when I walked with him, I recieve a very vigorous workout. My spouse however is only about 5 feet 6 inches in her own stride is smaller than my son’s. Walks together with her are not as strenuous, but nonetheless worthwhile and enjoyable.

Next I really need to watch what I eat. Gone are the days after i can binge on hamburgers and hotdogs. I still enjoy hamburgers and hotdogs here and there but I need to watch how money I eat with time. Also I actually do attempt to have more fruits and vegetables in my diet. Plus I think using a good multivitamin helps a lot too. I’ve also been toying with the concept of taking antioxidants as well. I attempt to make sure it get your meals at meal times only and only take one helping. To tell the truth, I actually do cheat on their helpings. But also make myself responsible to stepping around the scales everyday to check my weight. Basically start seeing my weight climb, I understand that i am starting too much and that i need to ease on eating a little.
